FAMILY TRADITION FOR OVER 140 YEARS.
Levison’s Jewelers opened its first jewelry store as Schwartz and Levison’s in Albany New York in 1888. Milton Levison Sr. and Martin Preager opened the business next to the Capitol hotel in downtown Albany.
A few years after the retirement of Milton Sr. in 1958, Milton Jr. moved the company to downtown Miami, Florida. The business thrived as one of the largest jewelry dealers and pawn shops in Florida under the name Milton Levison Inc. In 1980, David Levison joined the firm after receiving a Graduate Gemologist degree from The Gemological Institute of America. In 1998 David Levison relocated the company under its present incarnation, Levison’s Jewelers Inc., to McFarlane Road, and later, around the corner on Main Highway in downtown Coconut Grove, Florida. To better serve its private clientele, in September of 2009, Levison’s relocated to a private jewelry salon along with its subsidiary Gemological Laboratory Service Corporation appraising company.
The company offers a full service facility for every facet of the jewelry business which includes jewelry repair, design and creation, estate and retail jewelry appraisals, watch sales, as well as maintenance and service by factory authorized technicians. Levison’s Jewelers also carries unmounted diamonds and colored gemstones and vintage estate jewelry and vintage watches. Levison’s specializes in engagement and wedding jewelry using G.I.A. certified diamonds as well.
